ABLESIA, PORTUGALDESIGNER AT WORK
ABLESIA is a Minimalist clothing brand for women, whose objective is to create pieces that are made in order to last. We don’t believe in fashion trends, instead, we follow our own aesthetics, which we aim to be timeless.
Our pieces blend Design with simple shapes, all in all for an easy, effortless look that you can combine with other clothing items that you have in your wardrobe, aiming to make women’s day to day lives less complicated.
ALESIA is also a brand that is committed to ethical standards and to people who care about Nature and the Environment. We buy surpluses and deadstock from local factories in Portugal, thus avoiding fabrics to be needlessly disposed of and ending up in landfills.
Lyocell, viscose, organic cotton, and cupro are some of the fabrics that we use for our garments, materials that are more ecological and Environment friendly.
All the pieces are one size only, which fits the vast majority of people; this aspect helps us regarding production coordination tactics while avoiding stock accumulation.
Every ABLESIA piece is designed and developed by us, from its inception to the very last details, in our little studio in Setúbal, a beautiful seaside city in Portugal.

PROCESS BEHIND THE COLLECTION
Crow is a contemporary Indian brand. It is founded by Shaila Khubchandani. It is a reflection of functionality, hope for the environment, and inclusive communities. The brand is an amalgamation of traditional and modern sensibility. Conventional techniques are employed to create modern relaxed silhouettes. Crow harnesses the craftsmanship and knowledge of the artisan and translates it into wearable, artistic, and meaningful clothing. Each garment is a culmination of an empathetic partnership between designer, artisan, and karigar (craftsperson).
The textiles used are of utmost significance and are crafted in different parts of India. The brand attempts to add a touch of luxury and ignite a perception of exquisite beauty towards the traditional Khadi fabrics.
Sustainability is central to their philosophy. Crow attempts to engage in mindful manufacturing across different processes. Their clothes are handcrafted, handwoven using traditional methods by artisans, and colored in soothing elemental hues
DESIGNS BY SONIA, NETHERLANDS AND CANADA
DESIGNER AT WORK
Vaneesha Advani, is an Indo Canadian, she was born in Ghana, West Africa and was raised in India, she moved to New York at age of seventeen to study fashion design at the prestigious Parsons School of Design, New York, after that she moved to Canada, she then culminated 14 years of Vancouver and Montreal-based experience with other fashion houses, importers and buyers, designing clothing, and forecasting trends. Armed with a wealth of fashion experience Advani decided to create her own jewelry collection, Designs By Sonia in 2008, the company was formed in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Philosophy is to enhance that woman, whose presence is felt instantaneously where ever she appears. The collection is true to her; it is ageless, contemporary, and bold, it is always moving forward.
A lot of thought is put together in creating each collection including attention to details, and overall look, quality workmanship, feel, and appeal. The whole idea is to create designs and send them out into the world to observe the reaction, learn from the feedback, and continue to create.
Designs by Sonia provides a subtle luxury for women who want to stand apart and have calm confidence. It is an amazing experience working with every collection, I will continue to design for that special women.

ELEMENTUM, NETHERLANDS AND PORTUGAL
DESIGNER ON THE CUTTING TABLE
Creating beautiful clothes should not be at the expense of our future. In 2008, Daniela Pais founded Elementum with the vision to change the way we make and wear clothes.
Elementum is a sustainable fashion brand which is build on: Zero Waste, using natural materials, and being made in Europe. With designs that are timeless and multi-functional Elementum offers a range of expression and identity that fits the fast changing contexts of today’s fashion.
Elementum believes we wear our clothes and not the clothes wear us. We offer clothes to inspire you and enrich your day, to give you space for self-expression. You decide how to put them on, either as a scarf, shirt or dress. For our woolen knits, we choose un-dyed baby alpaca and merino wool from Peru. By choosing for wool un-dyed, the color you wear is the real and natural hair shade of the animal it came from. For you, we produce a long-lasting fashion. We work with high-quality materials that offer a lasting good fit and beautiful appearance.
WORK IN PROGRESS, MUTSAERS TEAM
a family business that has been making handmade leather goods for three generations, under the flag of Mutsaers Lederwaren. For over 55 years, we’ve been working on beautiful, authentic, and characterful leather products, with passion and experience. We still make every bag by hand in our workshop in Kaatsheuvel.
We believe quality is most important, so we have been working with our regular tannery in Italy for years. They provide us with the best and most beautiful Italian leather. The leather is tanned using plant extracts and finished with natural oils. We use this quality leather to make your own characteristic bag, with which you’ll distinguish yourself – in a positive way. Craftsmanship is our main priority: every bag is made by hand, in the Netherlands. Every day, our goal is to make you the perfect bag.
Personal contact is essential for us to be able to make you the perfect bag, so if you have any questions, please feel free to call, WhatsApp, or e-mail us. We are happy to help. And do you want to stay up to date on our latest developments?

STUDIO PETRUCHA, SPAIN
STUDIO PETRUCHA WORK IN PROGRESS
At this moment, we wanted to introduce ourselves a bit more – explain a little more of our history to hopefully create one with you.
Our journey began some years before. Neither of us were creating as we do now. Then a lawyer and a computer engineer, both of us were nevertheless dreaming of how to articulate a vision that was crystallizing just below the surface. Even with some formal training in design and construction we never ceased to be inspired by and returned to the idea of footwear.
We launched our first shoe brand together in 2008, which was admittedly more mainstream. Very different from Petrucha, this project was instrumental in our future trajectory. At this time we learned through practice what we desired to become and simultaneously what is deeply problematic. The cycle of mindless production informed us of the pragmatic and environmental advantages of a “made to order” operational model. The flawed idea of fulfilling an arbitrary number of pieces makes an overwhelming waste of raw materials and toxins that could be mitigated by only doing what is necessary. We believe this is truly a cancerous ideology to the industry and world at large.
With the knowledge we learned, we founded Petrucha in 2014 as a more informed distillation of vision and core beliefs, determined to create functional handcrafted footwear without the constraints of seasonal timetables and stands firmly in opposition to mainstream trends. Only when truly inspired are we able to create an expression of traditional technique that will carry you. Petrucha is committed to bringing a sensitivity unfettered by convention.
